About the Artist.

Louise Thorn was born in Cornwall and bred a Cornish lass. She started Loopy Ceramics in 1996 after completing a degree in Animation. She loved creating the 3D characters the most and after a stint of work experience at Spitting image, in London, returned home and started to create ceramic sculptures inspired by all the inhabitants that live in the salty wilds of her homeland.

In 2001 she applied for a designer maker job at the Eden Project. She was at Eden for over 20 years working on many different projects from small scale temporary installations to big permanent structures with a range of budgets..

Lou's work is very colourful and looks at the world through different eyes, we hope you enjoy them as much as she enjoys creating them.
