About the artist.
Mike Bernard trained at the highly acclaimed Royal Academy Schools in London. In 1997 he was elected a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours. His unusual painting technique of combining paper collage and acrylics is immediately recognisable and highly sought after all over the world. He is best known for his paintings of Cornish and Devon harbours, Italian coastal scenes and Venice.
